The Ghana U-20 national team kicked off their African Games campaign against Republic of Congo- in a game they played out a 0-0 draw at the Ohene Gyan Stadium on Friday mid-afternoon.

Coach Desmond Offei paraded a strong line up that featured goalkeeper Saeed Yakubu, captain Ofori McCarthy, Aaron Essel, Jerry Afriyie, starman Abdul Aziz Issah and others.

The game was a one-sided affair right from onset with the Black Satellites totally on top having dominated the game throughout but couldn't find the back of the net.

Congo on the other hand, started well but subsequently they all packed into their half especially in the second half but their Ghanaian counterparts couldn't break the backline despite the series of attempts.

Ghana attacked on so many occasions and even had six offsides awarded against them in the last five minutes.

It finished goalless after 90+5 minutes. The Black Satellites will take on Gambia in the second round of matches.
