Black Princesses gaffer, Yussif Basigi has stated with so much confidence that, he is ever ready as well as his girls for the crunchy final coming up tonight.
The Princesses will face sworn rivals Nigeria in the final of the 2023 African Games and are definitely having their focus on nothing but achieving the 'host and win' at this point.
Yussif Basigi's girls have had a very impressive run in the campaign so far, having won three from the four matches played so far and those wins came against Ethiopia, Tanzania and Senegal, but drew the other and that was a one-all draw against Uganda in their final group game.
On the other hand, the Falconets have also been very impressive so far in the competition having netted eight goals in three games and are yet to concede, including a 2-0 win over Uganda in the semi final.
Despite their explosive form, Yussif Basigi insists they are ever ready for them and he added they are only scoring for fun because they haven't faced a stronger opposition like his team.
"We are poised to play the final against Nigeria because each time both countries meet, it does not matter how good your team is because of the rivalry. We are prepared for them as they are for us as well.
"We vary our games and with the strength of the Nigerians, I think Uganda and Senegal are equally strong but we overcame them.
"Nigeria is strong and technically good and we have what it takes to play against them. Playing against Nigeria is not new as I have played against the Super Falcons during my time as Black Queens head coach."
"Nigeria has scored many goals but it depends on who you’re playing against. It happened in the WAFU B U-20 Girls Cup when they didn’t concede so the final will determine", he concluded
The final is slated for 20:00GMT (8:00pm) at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium
