Black Princesses head coach, Yussif Basigi has reiterated that, there are no pressure on them heading into the final and are ready to battle it out for nothing but the gold medal.
The Princesses will face sworn rivals Nigeria in the final of the 2023 African Games and are definitely having their focus on nothing but achieving the 'host and win' at this point.
Yussif Basigi's girls have had a very impressive run in the campaign so far, having won three from the four matches played so far and those wins came against Ethiopia, Tanzania and Senegal. The only drawn game in their run came against Uganda in their final group game.
On the other hand, the Falconets have also been very impressive and by far the best team so far in the competition having scored eighth goals in three games and are yet to concede, including a 2-0 win over Uganda in the semi final.
Speaking ahead of the crunchy final, the experienced gaffer has provided update on player fitness and added they are not facing any pressure whatsoever ahead of the game.
"Fortunately for us, all injured players are fit and match ready. When it comes to the psychological aspect of the game, Coach Danjuma will not open up to the fullest and I’m not perturbed with what he is saying, we will be ready for the game."
"We are not under pressure going into this game. Whether they have conceded or not, we will go all out in the final and I believe it will be a tough match. Together with our fans at the stadium to support us, we will overcome."
The final is slated for 20:00GMT (8:00pm) at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium
