Interim manager of Nigeria, Finidi George, has underscored the significance of the upcoming clash between the Super Eagles and the Black Stars of Ghana, dismissing it as anything but friendly.

With a longstanding sporting rivalry deeply ingrained in both nations, Finidi George has emphasized that the match slated for March 22, 2024, is far from being just a friendly encounter.

"They call it a friendly match but there is really nothing friendly when you play, especially Ghana," remarked Finidi.

Set to take place at the Stade de Marrakech in Morocco, the game marks Finidi's debut as Nigeria's interim coach, as well as Otto Addo's return for his second stint as the Black Stars' coach.

Highlighting the historical head-to-head record, Ghana currently leads with 22 wins, while Nigeria has secured 11 victories. Additionally, out of the 53 encounters between the two sides, 20 have ended in draws.
