The U-23 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) draw was held at the Mohammed VI Technical Centre in Rabat, Morocco, and Ghana has been placed in Group A.
The Black Meteors will compete against the host nation Morocco, Congo, and Guinea. The tournament, which is exclusively for players under the age of 23, will take place from June 24 to July 8, 2023.
The top three teams from the U-23 AFCON will qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, while the 4th-placed team will face a team from Asia in a playoff to determine the final slot at the Olympics.
The other group saw Egypt, Mali, Gabon and Niger paired.
Ghana is aiming to qualify for the Olympics for the first time since 2004 in Greece, having missed out on the previous edition in Japan after finishing 4th at the U-23 AFCON in Egypt.
