Black Galaxies suffered a very embarrassing elimination over the weekend in the 2024 African Nations Championship after a defeat to neighbors Nigeria and coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has admitted their opponents deserved to advance.

The Galaxies were humbled by the Super Eagles B by 3-1 over the weekend at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo after the first leg finished goalless in Accra fortnight ago.

Remo Stars' duo of Sodiq Ismail and Nduka Junior were all on the scoresheet alongside Isaac Saviour to seal the precious win and secured a perfect revenge for Nigeria.

In a post-match interview, Didi Dramani, confessed the better side in the tie was Nigeria who gave their all and feels they deserved to secure the qualification spot. 

"They were full of running and played their hearts out. Congratulations to Nigeria because they deserved their victory. They were the better team," he said.

The Black Galaxies have returned to Ghana and are expected to join their various clubs for the next round of matches in the Ghana Premier League.

The 2024 African Nations Championship will commence on February 1, 2025, in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
