The Minister of Sports, Hon. Mustapha Ussif believes the Black Stars are good enough to top their group in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

Ghana was paired in Group F with Sudan, Angola and Niger during the 2025 AFCON Qualifying draw on Thursday, July 4, 2024 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

However, reacting to the draw, the Member of Parliament for Yagaba-Kubori Constituency touched on the increasing competitiveness in international football, and lamented how smaller countries have taken world football by storm.

"Now there is no small team in the world, look at what's going on in the Euro 2024. You know that even the smaller countries are doing so well so the only thing I have confidence in is our technical team led by coach Otto Addo," he told Peace FM.

"Otto Addo knows most of these countries Angola, Niger, and Sudan are all good football nations. I have so much confidence that we will top the group."
