Ghana head coach, Otto Addo is certain that the Black Stars will qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament which will be held in Morocco.
Ghana are vulnerable to missing out on the 2025 AFCON after a poor run of results, so far, in their qualifying campaign.
A shocking defeat at home to Angola, a draw against Niger, followed by another draw vs Sudan - leaving Ghana languishing in third place in Group F with their ticket to the continental showpiece hanging by a thread.
Speaking to pressmen ahead of Ghana’s Round 4 clash with Sudan, Otto Addo admitted things have been tough for his team in the ongoing qualification campaign.
“Look, this assurance that everybody's talking about, why? For what? This is football. I cannot even assure, maybe God will take me tomorrow and I'm dead. What can I assure? We will try our best. And I know that at the end we'll be rewarded. And the positive thing is, what I want to tell you, all of you, it's still in our own hands. We have to win the next game, that's all. And then still, we are not qualified yet. Then it's still a long way. It's going to be very, very tough to the last match, I think. But we will do it,” Coach Addo said.
The second leg encounter between Sudan and Ghana will be played in Libya on Tuesday, October 15.
