Niger recorded their first win of the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers after destroying Sudan by an emphatic 4-0 in match-day 5 at the Stade de Kégué in Togo's capital Lome.

Despite playing on a neutral ground, the Ménas exhibited a five-star performance throughout the game prolly their best so far in the qualifying series.

Ghanaian-born Nigerien forward Daniel Sosah netted a brace in the game coupled with two other goals from Youssouf Oumarou and Ousseni Badamassi to hand Niger all three points.

The Oranges have now moved to the third position on the table with four points and will have to win their final game and hope they secure qualification afterwards based on the outcome of other games.

Ghana, who are currently at the foot of Group F with just two points, also still stand a chance to qualify especially after Sudan's huge slip today and will have to beat Angola and Niger now to enhance their qualification chances.
