The Portuguese tactician is confident of securing a positive result against the Black Stars on Thursday.

Angola head coach Pedro Goncalves is highly optimistic ahead of his team’s away fixture against Ghana in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifiers.

The Palancas Negras will open their campaign for the qualifiers of the next edition of the Africa Cup of Nations against Ghana.

Goncalves said during the press conference in Kumasi that his side are stronger and capable of battling it out with the Black Stars in the all-important fixture.

“Otto Addo gives Ghana more flexibility in formation; they can play in a line of five in the back or play in the line of four. “I think Ghana is stronger right now, but we are also much stronger,” Pedro Goncalves said during the press conference in Kumasi.

The 2025 AFCON qualifier between Ghana and Angola will kick off at Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday, September 5, 2024.
