Angola's head coach, Pedro Goncalves, is optimistic about his team's prospects as they prepare to face Ghana in their opening match of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
The highly anticipated clash will take place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday, September 5.
In a pre-match press conference, Coach Goncalves acknowledged the strength of the Ghanaian side but expressed confidence in his team's capabilities.
He noted, “Otto Addo gives Ghana more flexibility in formation, they can play in a line of five in the back or play in the line of four. “I think Ghana is stronger right now, but we are also much stronger,” coach Pedro Goncalves said.
As Angola and Ghana gear up for this crucial encounter, both sides will be looking to make a strong start in their quest to secure a place in the 2025 AFCON tournament, set to be hosted by Morocco.
