Black Satellites coach, Desmond Ofei says his boys are ever ready and poised for their all-important fixture against Central African Republic this mid-afternoon in the ongoing TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations
This is going to be Ghana's final group game in the competition after a draw in their first against DR Congo and a vital 1-0 victory over reigning champions Senegal in their last game thanks to Emmanuel Mensah's lone goal
The four-time African champions will now have to at least avoid a defeat against the Wild Beasts to secure themselves a place in the knockout phase of the competition
This is why coach Desmond Ofei says they are treating the game like a final and will play their hearts out to grind the needed results to advance from the group phase
“We need a good result to guarantee qualification. This is like a final for us, and we are treating it with the urgency it deserves.
“We can’t afford to be complacent against a hardworking side like CAR. They’ve shown they can hurt teams, so we must remain focused and composed.
“Our team is prepared. We’ve worked on our plan, and now it’s about delivering on the pitch.”
The game is scheduled for 15:00GMT (3:00pm) today at the Suez Canal Stadium in the capital, Cairo.
