Black Starlets have been drawn in Group D of the 2026 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations, where they will face Senegal, South Africa and Algeria.
The draw, held in Cairo, sets up a competitive group for Ghana as they aim to make a strong return on the continental stage.
The tournament will take place in Morocco from May 13 to June 2, 2026, with 16 teams split into four groups of four.
The top two teams from each group will progress to the knockout stage, while all quarter-finalists will secure qualification to the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
The Black Starlets have been in camp for weeks, engaging in a series of preparatory matches to build momentum ahead of the competition.
However, they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Heart of Lions just last Tuesday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Despite that setback, coach Prosper Narteh Ogum will be hoping to get the team into a good shape before the tourney as they target progression from a tough group and a return to the global stage for the first time since 2017.
