Madagascar delivered a dominant performance to secure a 4-1 away victory over the Central African Republic (CAR), climbing to the top of Group I in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The home side took an early lead in the ninth minute through Hugo Gambor, but their advantage was short-lived as Madagascar responded emphatically.

Ryan Raveloson turned the game around with a quickfire brace, scoring twice within four minutes to put Madagascar ahead by the 21st minute.

Arnaud Randrianantenaina extended the lead just four minutes into the second half before sealing the emphatic win with his second goal in the 89th minute.

The victory moves Madagascar to the summit of Group I with 10 points, while CAR drops to fifth with four points.

Ghana, currently third in the group, has an opportunity to overtake Madagascar with a win against Chad on Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
