Former Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has challenged the Black Stars to secure maximum points in their upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
Ghana will host Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00 GMT, before traveling to Morocco to face Madagascar at the Grand Stade d'Al Hoceima on Monday, March 24, for their sixth group-stage match.
With the team’s performances falling short of expectations in recent years, Agyemang-Badu, a member of Ghana’s 2014 World Cup squad, has urged the players to remain focused and deliver victories in both fixtures.
“Operation six points. Chad and Madagascar must go down,” he declared in an interview with Sporty FM.
“If we can’t beat them, then we have no business going to the World Cup,” he added.
After four matches in the qualifiers, Ghana sits joint top of Group I alongside Comoros with nine points, following crucial back-to-back victories over Mali and the Central African Republic.
The Black Stars are pushing to secure a spot at their fifth FIFA World Cup, set to be hosted in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
