Ghana head coach, Otto Addo is canvassing for support from Ghanaians ahead of the team's highly anticipated match against the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Stadium.

 

Reminiscing on his past experience at the match venue, he heaped praise on the electrifying atmosphere when Ghana played with Nigeria during the play-off final for the 2022 World Cup.



The German-trained coach was speaking in Kumasi ahead of his side’s highly anticipated 2026 World Cup qualifiers fourth match against CAR on Monday evening.



"I was truly overwhelmed by the support we received last time we played here. It exceeded my expectations," Addo lauded the festive atmosphere experienced at the Baba Yara stadium during a pre-match conference on Sunday night.



"Support should be unwavering, irrespective of the outcome, and Kumasi has consistently demonstrated this loyalty."



"Even in challenging times, I have no doubt that our fans will stand by us," added the impressed coach.



Kick-off at Baba Yara Stadium is at 19h00 GMT.
