Executive council member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Dr. Randy Abbey, has disclosed the plan of the domestic football governing's body for the Black Stars, stating the aim is to get Ghana in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

 

The Black Stars of Ghana earned a crucial point on the road with a 2-1 win against Mali on Thursday.



Otto Addo's men showed true grit at the Stade 26 Mars in Bamako. Ernest Nuamah and Jordan Ayew scored Ghana's goals, while Kamory Doumbia had earlier fired the opener for Mali in the first half.



In an interview with Kumasi based Akoma FM, Dr. Abbey indicated that he has great belief in the team as they will charge the home crowd with an excellent display on Monday night.



“Fans in Kumasi have been excellent, and we expect them to surpass their previous level of excellence. On Monday, we want to see the stadium filled, and we know we’ll give them something to celebrate.”



“We will eventually achieve the desired outcome, which is to win, and that will increase our chances of qualification.”
