Ghana’s Black Queens will face Zambia in the third round of the 2028 Olympic Games qualifiers after the Copper Queens booked their place with a 5-3 aggregate victory over Uganda.
Zambia will meet Ghana in February 2027 as they pursue qualification for a third consecutive appearance at the Olympic Games.
The Copper Queens secured their progress by overcoming Uganda across their two-legged second-round tie, setting up a meeting with the Black Queens in the next phase.
Ghana, meanwhile, advanced after recording a commanding 10-0 aggregate victory over Mauritius to progress from the second qualifying round.
The upcoming tie will bring together two sides seeking to strengthen their chances of reaching the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
The encounter will also renew their rivalry after Zambia eliminated Ghana in the final qualifying round for the 2024 Olympic Games, giving the Black Queens another opportunity to revenge the Copper Queens.
