Black Stars defender Alexander Djiku has reacted to Ghana's 4-3 win over Central Africa Republic at Baba Yara Stadium on Monday evening.
Djiku was delighted Ghana were able to repay their fans at ‘fortress Baba Yara’ during the 'crazy' win over the Wild Beasts, with the centre-back who played full throttle in the game describing their performance' as relentless.
The Black Stars went into Monday night’s clash at Baba Yara Stadium knowing the three points would be enough to be on the right path in earning a ticket as one of the five teams to represent Africa in the mundial which will be hosted across the USA, Canada, and Mexico in 2026.
And a hat trick from Jordan Ayew, either side of Abdul Fatawu Issahaku's impressive strike, helped ensure Ghana would top their qualification group with six games to spare.
"Every journey begins with a single step. Ghana Black Stars." Djiku, who plies his trade for Fenerbahce wrote on X.
Ghana will next square off with Chad on 17th, March and Madagascar on 24th, March 2025, when the qualifiers resume.
