At the Accra Sports stadium on Tuesday afternoon, Stephan Ambrosius finally earned his first senior cap for the Black Stars as they humbled Liberia in an international friendly game.
Ambrosius, who had the physicality and defensive brain, put up a commanding display in the 3-1 win over the Lone Stars.
The Hamburger SV guardsman came off the Black Stars bench in the 46th minute, which was a sign of relief to him after finally making his long-awaited debut.
However, Ambrosius did himself justice with his robust performance which at least as he might have a fighting chance of being a regular starter in subsequent games for the four-time AFCON champions.
