Ghanaian Premier League side Asante Kotoko will depart for South Africa today (Tuesday) ahead of their Toyota Cup clash against Kaizer Chiefs, set to take place on Saturday, July 26, at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.



The match forms part of the 2025 Toyota Cup and will see two of Africa’s most historic football clubs face off in a high-profile friendly aimed at deepening inter-club relations across the continent.



The Porcupine Warriors will represent Ghana in the encounter, with both clubs expected to engage in a series of off-pitch activities promoting unity, football development, and fan engagement.



The fixture, forms a key component of Kotoko’s build-up to the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign and their CAF Confederation Cup campaign, marks a rare meeting between the two giants, who boast a combined legacy of domestic and continental success.
