Head coach of Ghana's Black Starlets Laryea Kingston has lauded Benin's performance against his side in Accra on Tuesday, despite beating them.

The Black Starlets secured a place in the semi-final of the WAFU B U-17 Nations Cup tournament through a hard fought 2-0 win against Benin.

Despite the victory, Ghana were made to work hard in the match with coach Laryea Kingston describing the match as a difficult game.

“This game was very difficult for us. People thought it would be a walk in the park but it wasn’t. It was a very difficult match. We were very lucky that we saw their game against Ivory Coast. So that gave us an advantage to see what they are bringing on board," Coach Laryea Kingston said in his post-match interview.

“There are a lot of good teams at this tournament."
