Ghana's U20 national team is set to kick off their campaign against Congo at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday afternoon, marking the beginning of their Group A journey.
During a pre-game press conference held on Thursday, Asamoah expressed his resolute optimism regarding the Black Satellites' prospects in the tournament.
Addressing the media, the Berekum Chelsea player declared, “Many people outside are waiting for this opportunity and we’ve been selected, we are much grateful for this opportunity. We are going to deliver and bring out the best in us. We are going for the trophy."
Reflecting on Ghana's performance in the previous African Games in 2019, where they failed to advance past the group stage, Asamoah emphasized the team's determination to rewrite history and clinch the championship title this time around.
