Desmond Ofei, the head coach of the Black Satellites, has unveiled a strategic game-by-game approach for the team's participation in the 2023 African Games.

Ghana is set to kick off its campaign against Congo at the Accra Sports Stadium in their Group A opener on Friday afternoon.

Reflecting on Ghana's performance in the previous edition of the African Games in 2019, where they failed to advance from the group stage, Ofei emphasized caution regarding the team's prospects.

“We are taking it a game after the other and we are starting with Congo. We are fully prepared for the game against Congo."

To contend for the title, the team must secure a top-two finish in Group A, alongside Congo, The Gambia, and Benin, before contemplating championship aspirations.

Ghana has amassed one gold medal and two bronze medals in the football competition over the 65-year history of the African Games, aiming to enhance its trophy cabinet on home soil.
