The Black Starlets are getting ready for a big challenge as they prepare to play in the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The tournament will take place from 25 April to 15 May and will include 16 teams, giving more young players the chance to compete.
This year’s competition is very important because it will also decide which teams qualify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar in November 2026.
Africa has 10 places at the World Cup, so teams must perform well and move past the group stage.
For the Black Starlets, the aim is to return to the top level of youth football. Ghana has a strong history in this competition and hopes its young players can rise to the challenge.
The larger tournament format is meant to give more teams a chance, but it also means teams must be more consistent and have stronger squads.
