The Black Starlets have safely touched down in Rabat, Morocco ahead of the 2026 TotalEnergies CAF U-17 Cup of Nations tournament.

The team returns to the competition after a nine-year absence, with their last appearance coming in 2017 when they painfully lost to Mali in the final.

Ghana travelled with a 21-player squad and 14 officials and will continue preparations in Rabat before the tournament begins.

Prosper Narteh’s boys have been in camp for months at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram before travelling to Côte d’Ivoire for two friendly games against Ivory Coast, where they lost 2-0 in the first game but made amends days later with an emphatic 4-0 victory.

The Black Starlets are hoping for a strong campaign in Morocco and also target qualification to the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Ghana have been drawn in Group D alongside Algeria, Senegal and South Africa and the competition will run from May 13 to June 2, 2026.
