Those in charge of recruitment at the Signal Iduna Park are nearing capturing the signature of the teenage defender of lvorian heritage from the Austrian elite division outfit ahead of the summer transfer window
Bundesliga heavyweights Borussia Dortmund are closing in on signing French-born lvorian teenager Joane Gadou from Austrian Bundesliga club Red Bull Salzburg, multiple reports from the German media have claimed.

The 19-year-old centre-back, who joined up with the Red Bull Arena campaigners from French giants PSG in the summer of 2024, has established himself as a central figure in the Austrian top-flight, with such efforts now being recognized by the European top guns this summer.

Per Sky Germany, BVB have reached an agreement with RB Salzburg over the transfer move of the promising defender in a deal worth €20 million plus a €6 million in add-ons, with an official confirmation expected to be made soon between both clubs in the coming days.
Having been considered as a viable target by Die Borussen, the lvory Coast prospect centre-back has so far taken in 33 appearances for RB Salzburg across all competitions in this ongoing football season.

Given his lvorian heritage, the Aubervilliers-born native still remains fit to switch nationality and represent the Cote d'Ivoire national football team at the senior level after playing for the France U16, U17, U18 & U19 national youth teams.
