The Schwarzgelben have reportedly prised away the teenage sensation of Congolese heritage from their city nemesis and would link up with them in the summer 

Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have snatched German-born Congolese starlet Peniel Poba from domestic elite division rivals Borussia Mönchengladbach, per a report from the German media.

The enterprising budding star, currently with the Mönchengladbach U17, is set to swap the Borussia-Park outfit for the Signal Iduna Park campaigners for the 2026-27 football season.

According to Dortmund-based Newspaper Ruhr Nachrichten, those in charge of recruitment at BVB have already lured the 17-year-old nimble right-footed star at the blind side of their city adversaries and would join up with them in the summer having been slated for the U19 setup next season.

To cool tempers at the Mönchengladbach-based club, a compensation fee would be paid for his training development as their academy finished article.

Poba, has so far featured in 20 appearances by netting 1 goal and assisted 6 times for Mönchengladbach U17 across all competitions in this ongoing campaign.

Given his DR Congo heritage, He remains a future prospect for the Les Léopards national football team at the senior level on the international stage.
