Nsoatreman FC striker, Stephen Diyou, says his side will not be complacent ahead of their game against Chadian club Elect Sport in the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup next month.

In the recently held CAF Confederation Cup draw, Nsoatreman FC were drawn with Elect Sport of Chad.

The Ghana FA Cup holders will play host and neck-it-down with the Chadian side in Kumasi before traveling to the landlocked country for the second leg.

Diyou, speaking in an interview, stressed the importance of approaching the game with all seriousness.

“We won’t be complacent, Football has transformed in recent years, so we just have to prepare well and ensure we get a solid side that can defeat them. Our opponents are from Chad but the players may be coming from different countries and that makes it a different game altogether.

“We are keen about qualifying to the next stage of the preliminaries. We are only looking at performing well and edging out Elect Sport. We won’t boast of being a football country at the expense of Chad because anything can happen in football."

Nsoatreman are Ghana's sole representative in next season's CAF Confederation Cup after winning the FA Cup competition.
