Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have announced their preparation plans for the first leg tie of the 2022/23 CAF Champions League first preliminary round next week.

Management of Asante Kotoko have confirmed that the team will leave the shores of Ghana on Wednesday, 7th September, 2022 for the RC Kadiogo game.

The Porcupine Warriors will be battling out with RC Kadiogo of Burkina Faso in the first leg tie of the 2022/23 CAF Champions League preliminary round in Ivory Coast.

Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced last month that the game will be played at the Stade Yamoussoukro in Ivory Coast following the disapproval of RC Kadiogo's home venue in Burkina Faso.

The first leg tie to be played at the Stade Yamoussoukro in Ivory Coast will kick-off at 17:00GMT (5:00PM) on Friday, 9th September 2022.

Asante Kotoko returned from their ten-day preseason tour in Sudan on Thursday after engaging Sudanese giants Al Hilal, Al Ahli Khartoum and Simba SC of Tanzania in friendlies.

Despite failing to record a win in the pre-season friendlies, Coach Seydou Zerbo and his charges are eager to eliminate RC Kadiogo from the CAF Champions League.
