FC Samartex head coach Nurudeen Amadu has expressed his satisfaction following his team’s 1-0 victory over Victoria United in the second leg of their CAF Champions League first-round tie on Sunday.

The match, held at the Accra Sports Stadium, was decided by an early goal from Isaac Afful in the 8th minute, which secured a 2-0 aggregate win for the Ghanaian champions.

In a post-match interview, Coach Amadu acknowledged the challenging nature of the contest, emphasizing the importance of the result.

"We anticipated that it was going to be tough. This is how they played there. We know we have a long way to go because we need to learn. It was a difficult game, but what is important is that we have won," he stated.

With this victory, FC Samartex advances to the second round of the CAF Champions League qualifiers, where they will face Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca as they continue their quest to reach the group stage.
