FC Samartex forward, Baba Musah Hamadu has stated they are not letting the first leg win get over them as they are currently preparing very hard for the return encounter.

The Ghanaian champions had their first taste of the continent's biggest club competition and they marked it with a vital 0-1 away win over Cameroonian champions Victoria United last Sunday in the first leg of the first round prelims.

The game was really a very difficult one for both sides until Emmanuel Mamah scored with a towering header on the 47th minute and that was enough to give the Timber Giants the win.

Reacting to the win, Baba Musah Hamadu feels the job isn't over yet as they will have to exhibit another impressive performance this weekend to seal the first round qualification then they can rejoice.

"A 1-0 victory is a tricky one, no matter how elated we are as players. Therefore, we have resolved to perceive it as a defeat, entering the second leg fixture as wounded lions at the Accra Sports Stadium. We can only celebrate after progressing to the next stage of the competition."

The return encounter is slated for next Sunday, August 25, at the Ohene Gyan Stadium
