Medeama SC’s head coach, Augustine Evans Adotey, has expressed that his team has gained valuable insights into CR Belouizdad ahead of their second group game in the 2023/24 CAF Champions League.
The Ghanaian champions are set to host the Algerian powerhouse at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday, December 1, 2023.
This comes after Medeama’s 3-0 defeat against Egyptian giants Al Ahly in their debut game of the competition, where they managed to hold off the opposition for over an hour without conceding in Cairo.
Speaking before the match against Belouizdad, Adotey emphasized that the scoreline is not his primary concern; winning is the ultimate goal.
“I have spent the past two days analyzing Belouizdad’s game against Yanga. We have learned a lot about them and observed many things,” he stated during the pre-match press conference.
“While I won’t make any predictions, my mission is for Medeama to emerge victorious tomorrow. The scoreline isn’t my main focus; what matters most to me is that my team secures a win.”
