The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Ivorian referee Patrick Tanguy Jean Philippe Vlei R to officiate Asante Kotoko’s upcoming continental fixture against Nigerian side Kwara United.

Vlei will be supported by compatriots Nouho Ouattara (Assistant Referee I) and Lancine Kone (Assistant Referee II), while Ibrahim Kalilou Traore, also from Ivory Coast, will take charge as the fourth official.

Gambian referee Bakary K. Jammeh, one of the continent’s seasoned match supervisors, has been named as the Match Commissioner. Sierra Leone’s Sanusie Rashid will serve as the Referee Assessor.

The assignment comes as the Porcupine Warriors prepare to reassert themselves on the African stage, marking their return to continental football with renewed ambition.
