The Mali national team have safely arrived in Accra for the top liner in Group I against Ghana on Monday - in a game both teams will approach with nothing but a winning mindset. 

The Eagles arrived in the country on the early hours of today with the entire squad invited led by Belgian gaffer Tom Saintfiet 

After a sloppy start to the campaign, they humbled Comoros by an emphatic 3-0 win over Comoros in the last round of matches at the Stade Municipal in Berkane. 

The victory was sealed thanks to goals from Nene Dorgeles in the 28th minute coupled with other two from Kamory Doumbia and Lassana Coulibaly. 

Mali after the win have enhanced their qualification chances as they currently have 12 points - sitting fourth in the table. 

The team is expected to hold a mandatory training session at the Ohene Gyan Stadium in order to adapt quickly to the pitch, the weather and others. 

The game is slated for 19:00GMT (7:00pm) on Monday, September 8, 2025.
