Dreams FC’s Administrative Manager, Ameenu Shardow has revealed that his club's current aspiration is to go past the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup as they prepare to honor their first match against Tunisia's Club Africain.
The Ghanaian FA Cup champions secured a place in the group stages after crushing out Milo de Kankan and FC Kallon in the preliminary stage.
Dreams FC who has been paired in Group C with Club Africain, Angolan side Lobito Club and Nigerian club Rivers United will play against the Tunisians on on Sunday in Radès
However, in an interview with Kumasi based Akoma FM ahead of their match against Club Africain, Ameenu Shardow said: "We wish to go past the group stages. Even though we greatly respect the teams, we have examined the group and are aware of their strengths."
“However, given the caliber of our team and their preparedness and performance, I am confident that we will be able to advance.
"We have no choice but to play at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, even though it will cost us more money. I will kindly ask the Kumasi community to show their unwavering support for us whenever we play," he added.
