Rivers United striker Samuel Adom Antwi is anticipating the upcoming 2023/24 CAF Confederations Cup second group match against Dreams FC, scheduled to be played at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, December 3, 2023.

The 23-year-old Ghanaian had recently joined Rivers United from King Faisal, bringing with him a hunger for goals and a reputation for being a potent striker.

As the team prepared for the crucial encounter, Samuel Antwi shared his thoughts on the match. In an exclusive interview with Happy FM in Accra.

Antwi's confidence was not without foundation. Having already made a mark with a goal in his debut for Rivers United during the CAF Confederation Cup, he was quickly becoming a key player in the team's offensive strategy.

Reflecting on past experiences against Dreams FC, including a loss in the MTN FA Cup final with his former club, King Faisal, Antwi acknowledged the challenges but remained undeterred.

The atmosphere within the Rivers United camp was described as positive, with Antwi attributing his seamless adaptation to the support of Ghanaians within the club. "The atmosphere in camp is very positive. I've met Ghanaians in the club who have made my adaptation very easy," he said.

As the team set its sights on victory in Ghana, Antwi's determination to score against Dreams FC resonated with the entire Rivers United community.

“I’ve played against them and know them. We are coming to win in Ghana because that’s our mentality. I will be hoping to score in Ghana and seal it with a victory.”

The stage is set at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, December 3, 2023.
