Nigerian side Kwara United safely in the capital, Accra, earlier today to continue preparations towards their game against Asante Kotoko this weekend.
Both teams have been paired against each other in the first preliminary round of the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup and are all motivated for nothing but a win as they have all targeted at least a group stage spot.
The Harmony Boys haven’t really had a good start to the new season in Nigeria having won only one in the opening four matches and played out a goalless draw away at Warri Wolves over the weekend
However, their opponents Asante Kotoko also did the unthinkable in their opening league fixture last Saturday with a narrow 0-1 win to beat Berekum Chelsea away from home for the first time ever and this will definitely serve as a huge source of motivation coming into the game.
The Afonja Warriors arrived at the Kotoka International Airport with a full contingent led by coach Tunde Sanni Salihu and have expressed determination to win and only need good officiating to achieve that.
The first leg is slated for Sunday, September 21, at the Ohene Gyan Stadium in Accra.
