Kwara United coach Tunde Sanni says his side are ready to withstand the test of facing Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Nigerian club travels to Accra for the first leg of the preliminary round this weekend, with Kotoko looking to make a strong start on home soil.

But Sanni believes his players have already shown they can cope under pressure, pointing to their recent outing against Warri Wolves.

“I believe Asante Kotoko couldn’t have done better than this against Warri Wolves,” Sanni said.

“If we can survive like this, I’m sure we’re going to survive in Ghana. They cannot play better than we played today. We had a lot of pressure, but since we’ve survived it, we’re very sure we are going to survive in Ghana.”

Kotoko, whose name is firmly written into the history books of African football, are aiming for a deep run in this season’s competition.
