The president of the Confederation of African Football, Patrice Motsepe, is set to make an official visit to Dakar on Tuesday.

The trip is aimed at strengthening relations between CAF and Senegal, which continues to play a key role in African football.

During his visit, Motsepe will hold talks with Senegal’s president, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, in what is expected to be a high-level meeting.

Key issues on the agenda include tensions surrounding the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final, decisions taken by the CAF Appeals Committee, as well as football infrastructure development and Senegal’s growing influence in the game across the region.

Motsepe is also scheduled to meet Abdoulaye Fall, president of the Senegalese Football Federation.

Their discussions will focus on future technical projects and upcoming competitions, as both sides look to strengthen cooperation between CAF and national football authorities.
