Black Stars opponents- Central African Republic have touched down at the Kotoka International Airport on the early hours of today ahead of their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ghana next week.

The Wild Beasts recorded their first win of the qualifiers after narrowly defeating Chad by 1-0 at home, courtesy Venuste Baboula's first half strike.

Currently, Central African Republic are sitting fourth on the Group I table with four points after three matches- having already lost to leaders Comoros and secured a vital draw at Mali. 

Ahead of their match-day four fixture against the four time African champions, Les Fauves have already arrived at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra and their schedule till the matchday hasn't been revealed yet but will definitely move to Kumasi subsequently where the game will be held.

The last time both teams met in September last year in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers, it was Ghana who prevailed after coming from behind to win by 2-1 thanks to a spectacular free kick from Kudus Mohammed and Ernest Nuamah's late winner.

The game between Ghana and Central African Republic is slated for Monday, June 10, at the Baba Yara Stadium at 19:00GMT.
