Ghana's home-based national team will cross swords with Niger this weekend in the quarter final tie of the ongoing 2022 African Nations Championship.

The Black Galaxies finished second in Group C with six points after an important 3-1 victory over Sudan in their second and final group game last week.

The wait is finally over as it has now been confirmed Ghana will play Niger in round after recording a narrow 1-0 win over Cameroon 1-0 in a crunchy Group E decider, thanks to Ousseini Badamassi's second half free kick.

The win means the Ménas will finish as the conquerors of the group with four points but will both advance to the knockout phase of the tourney as Cameroon also finished second with three.

Coach Annor Walker and his charges since the start of the week, have been in serious preparations towards any opposition they meet in the next stage.

The game is scheduled for Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 1900GMT at the Miloud Hadefi Stadium.
