The Black Satellites have emerged as winners of Group B following their final group game win over Central African Republic in a very tough encounter at the Suez Canal Stadium

The four-time African champions exhibited a stupendous performance and never gave up until getting the all-important goal in the 83rd minute courtesy substitute Joseph Opoku

The Satellites have topped the group with seven points and are yet to determine their opponents in the quarter final stage and are just one win away from securing World Cup

In a post-match interview, the experienced tactician heaped praises on his players for their impressive performance and added they were handed a very tougher opposition

“It was a tricky match. The CAR boys fought really hard and made it difficult for us at times. We lost a number of balls in our own half, which gave them some confidence and momentum, but I’m proud of the resilience the boys showed,” Coach Desmond Ofei said as quoted on the Ghana FA website.

“We didn’t rush the game. That was very important. The boys controlled the game, worked the ball well, and stayed patient even when the goal didn’t come early. I’m happy for them, they earned this win,” Coach Ofei added.

The Black Satellites will face the team that will finish third in Group A - which will be determined later today
