Ghana U-23 head coach Desmond Ofei has announced his final 23-man squad for the upcoming CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya.

The Black Meteors are preparing for a two-legged tie, with the first encounter scheduled to take place in Benghazi on Wednesday, November 11, 2026.

Ofei has settled on his 23 players to represent Ghana as the team prepares for the crucial away fixture first against the North African side.

Notable names in the squad include goalkeeper Gideos Aseako, David Oduro, Aaron Essel, Real Madrid Castilla defender Oscar Naasei Oppong, Barcelona’s Abdul Aziz Issah, Kelvin Nkrumah, Emmanuel Sanja, Joseph Opoku of Swansea City and more.

The opening leg in Libya will be followed by the return encounter, with Ghana needing a strong overall performance across the two matches to progress.

Winner of this tie will face one of Equatorial Guinea or Niger in the next qualifying round.

With a place in the next qualifying stage at stake, Ofei and his players will be aiming to secure a positive result in Benghazi before completing the tie at home.
