The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has extended a helping hand to 16 distressed mothers at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after settling their outstanding medical bills totalling GH₵84,000 on behalf of the Black Stars.

GFA President Kurt Okraku led members of the Executive Council and other officials of the association to support the mothers during a visit to the hospital on Friday afternoon.

The intervention cleared the outstanding medical bills of all 16 mothers, offering them financial relief during a difficult period.

Okraku later shared the experience on Facebook, saying the mothers' reactions made the gesture deeply rewarding.

“The smiles, prayers and heartfelt appreciation of the mothers were truly humbling and reminded us of the power of compassion and collective responsibility,” he posted.

The GFA boss also wished the mothers and their newborn babies good health and a bright future.

“We wish our mothers and their beautiful babies good health, happiness and a bright future. May God bless them all,” he added.
