The Red Army have handed the teenager of Nigerian descent his first official deal, with the duration of the fresh term which is set to keep him at the Ashton Gate Stadium unmentioned 

English-born Nigerian teen Excellent Ikpeama has penned his first professional contract with English Championship club Bristol City FC, the club have announced.

The 18-year-old striker, who joined up with the Robins in 2018 at age 11, has progressed immensely through the academy ranks much to the delight of the club's hierarchy and have now taken it upon themselves to reward him with his first PRO contract given his talent as a future prospect for the first team.

An official statement from the club's official website reads: ''Excellent Ikpeama has signed his first professional contract at Bristol City. Born in 2007, Ikpeama attended Broadoak Academy and played for both the Under-18s and Under-21s teams throughout the season. 

''Previously of Weston Town, Bassano Virtus and Belvedere, Ikpeama joined the Robins’ ranks in 2018 as an Under-11. Recently scoring in the Under-18s’ win over Coventry City, the attacker was also part of the 2024/25 Under-18s Professional Development League-winning side.''

Given his Nigerian heritage, the English-born native remains eligible to switch nationality and play for the Super Eagles at senior level, with England and ltaly also an option on the international stage.
