Ethiopia's renowned referee, Bamlak Tessema Wayesa, will officiate the upcoming TotalEnergies CAF Champions League Group D match between CR Belouizdad of Algeria and Ghana's Medeama SC.
With a wealth of experience, including officiating at the FIFA World Cup in Russia 2018, the 43-year-old brings his expertise to the prestigious continental tournament.
Assisting Wayesa will be his compatriots, Temesgin Samuel Samuel Atango (Assistant I), Tigle Gizaw Belachew (Assistant II), and Belay Tadesse Asserese (Fourth Official).
Yanfore Issa Yanmien from Niger will serve as the Match Commissioner, while Libya's Mohamed Abdalla Mohamed will act as the Referee Assessor. Additionally, Wajdi Aouadi from Tunisia and Souleymane Cherif from Côte D'Ivoire will serve as General Coordinator and Security Officer, respectively.
The highly anticipated match is scheduled to kick off at 17:00 at the 5th July 1962 Stadium in Algiers on Friday, March 1, 2023.
