ln announcing the deal with the youngster, the German top guns have said the 20-year-old has been slated for the Borussia Dortmund's U23 team before his arrival in the summer.
''Central defender Nanitonda Quiala will join Borussia Dortmund's U23 team in the summer of 2026. The 20-year-old has signed a contract until June 30, 2028.
''Quiala was trained in the youth academy of Berliner AK. Last summer, the tall defender moved to FC Hertha 03 Berlin-Zehlendorf in the Regionalliga Nordost (fourth tier) and has made 26 appearances in the league so far (1 goal).''

Sporting Director of the U23 team Ingo Preuß has told his club's official website: ''Nani caught our attention in the Regionalliga Nordost. We observed him for some time and are confident that he will continue to develop with us over the next two years.''
