German-born Guinean starlet Mussa Kaba has signed his first professional contract with Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund, the club have confirmed.

The promising midfield enforcer, who is attracting admiring glances from potential suitors ahead of the summer window, has now been tied down to a long-term contract by the Signal Iduna Park outfit management, with his future now being secured beyond the upcoming new football season.

Announcing the first official deal with their BVB U23 man, the 8-time German Bundesliga Champions have said in a statement: ''Borussia Dortmund have signed German youth international Mussa Kaba to a professional contract. The midfielder signed a long-term deal with the eight-time German champions this Thursday. ''

''The German U17 international joined BVB in 2018 and progressed through the Dortmund youth teams from the U11 level. This season, Kaba made six appearances for the U23 team in the Regionalliga West and started twice for Dortmund in the Premier League International Cup, which BVB won on Tuesday evening with a 1-0 victory in the final against Real Madrid.''

The Guinea-prospect defensive midfielder has told the club's official website: ''I am very grateful for the trust that Borussia Dortmund has placed in me and will continue to work hard every day to repay that trust. I am proud to wear the black and yellow jersey and want to do my part to ensure BVB's success.''

Sporting director  Ole Book added: ''Mussa possesses enormous footballing abilities and an impressive physique. With his potential, he is one of the greatest talents in German football. We believe he can make the leap into our professional squad, but we will also give him the necessary time along the way.”

Given his Guinean heritage, the Bielefeld-born native could become a future cornerstone for the Guinea national football team at the senior level on the international stage after playing for the Germany U17 national youth team.
