Ghanaian referee, Daniel Nii Laryea has been included in match officials for the final of the 2022 African Nations Championship which comes up tonight between host Algeria and Senegal.
The Confederation of African Football prior to the commencement of the competition, named Daniel Laryea and Kwesi Brobbey as the only two Ghanaian officials to referee at the ongoing CHAN.
The 35 year old is predominantly known to be a Center Referee who is mostly in the center of the pitch steering affairs during games but was used in the VAR room this time unlike the 2020 edition where he was part of the main center-men.
Laryea will serve as assistant to Tunisia's Haythem Guirat who is the main man in the Video Assistant Referee room for tonight's epic final.
Gabonese referee Pierre Ghislain Atcho will be the main referee and will be assisted on the lines by Seychelles's Hensley Danny Petrousse and Adou Hermann Desiré N'goh from Cote D'Ivoire.
The final is slated for 1900GMT on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in the capital, Algiers.
